Our popular community research talks are back, this time in Lincoln.
We have two incredible researchers talking about their research which is relevant to us all, yet not often talked about - the risk of heart failure and the end of life.
Come along and learn more about the relationship between our gut and our heart, and some of the myths around dying and palliative care.

Each year Te Papa Hauora proudly hosts a public engagement event to raise awareness of health research and researchers.
Leading researchers from Canterbury come together to share highlights of work being done locally that lead to improving the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Attendance is free and the talks are open to the public. Presentations are engaging, concise and designed for everyone.
When: Wednesday 6 May, 5.30 pm – 7.00 pm (doors open at 5 pm for refreshments)

CANTERBURY MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION AGM 2026
Join us at our upcoming Annual General Meeting where our Board will present the 2025 financial report and provide an overview of the research grants we have supported.
We will also hear from a guest speaker who will share insights into the impact of medical research and its contribution to improving health outcomes in our community.
The evening will begin with an opportunity to connect with fellow members, supporters, and the CMRF Board and staff. The meeting will follow, and the evening will conclude with drinks and canapés.
